Tribute to Paul Bamba: A Legacy in the Ring
Bambas's manager, Ne-Yo announced late Friday evening on December 27th, that the Puerto Rican boxer Paul Bamba has passed away at the age of 35.
His manager Ne-Yo, confirmed the tragic loss, though the cause of death remains unknown.
In an extraordinary year, Bamba showcased his impressive skills in the ring, achieving an astonishing record of 14 knockout wins in 2024. This remarkable accomplishment set a new standard in boxing history, eclipsing Mike Tyson's long-standing record of 11 knockouts in a single year, which had been held for 38 years. Bamba's relentless determination and work ethic were evident in his successful pursuit of the WBA Gold cruiserweight championship, culminating in a victory against Rogelio Medina Luna on December 21, just days before his sudden death.
In a bold move to elevate his career, Bamba signed a managerial deal with the acclaimed American singer Ne-Yo just a month prior to his passing.
Following his championship win, he challenged popular influencer Jake Paul, proposing a fight to lend credibility to Paul's boxing ambitions.
